Do you think your ready for this Jelly!

I don't think your ready for this JELLY!
I don't think your ready for this JELLY!
LOL!
Every time I do a jelly sandwich (manicure of course) it reminds
me of the Bootylicious song.

Here is my Jelly Sandwich.

A while ago on my face book page I got asked what was a jelly sandwich manicure.
I decided to do a little tutorial.
They call it a Jelly sandwich because your using sheer or jelly polishes.
For my sheer polish I used essie, ballet slipper.
When dried, apply a layer of  glitter polish.
Then you add another layer of the same sheer/jelly polish on top of it.

Now you have a Jelly sandwich.
The items I used:
essie- ballet slipper
Jordana- party

Cherry Manicure!

My favorite fruit that I love to eat in the summer is Cherries!
With that being said, I decided to do a nail art.

The base color is JulieG 9 to 5. It is a peachy creme color (2 coats). It's not this bright in person.

I used the Konad special polish in red and the green polish in the migi nail art pen.
For those wondering what a migi nail art pen is: It can be used as a nail polish and a  nail art pen.
(twist for brush and pull for the pen)
I love using these!

 My cherry Manicure!
I hope you like my manicure.

The items I used:
  • JulieG- 9 to5
  • Cheeky plate-CH13
  • Konad special polish-Red
  • Migi nail art pen-green and white

* You really don't need to go out and buy nail art plates. You can even use a dotting tool or a pin that has round end and dip it in red polish to make the cherries. Then with a thin brush or an old eye liner brush use it to make the leaf's.

How to do Border Nails.

Sorry for being m.i.a, I went back to school to finish my degree in Business. I well do my best to keep posting. I  have a lot of how to's and tutorials on nail art designs. So that should keep me busy for the next couple of days.
Today I well show you how I do the nail border. There are a lot of different ways you can do them. But I find this way to be the easiest for me.

Paint your nails with a base color of your choice. I decided to do a accent finger.

With a thin nail art brush out line the outer part of your nails using a different color.

Add your favorite top coat and your done.

Here is a list of what I used:
Jesse's girl-Stiletto
JulieG- Bikini
thin nail art brush (if you don't have a brush you can use an old liquid eye liner brush)

I hope you like this little tutorial. If you have any questions or comments feel free to leave them in comment area. I well response to every single on of them. If you want me to do a tutorial on something that you seen you can post a picture of it on my FACEBOOK PAGE.

My new favorite nude color/shade

My new favorite nude shade is ballet slippers by essie.

Ballet slippers is a classic pale pink with a sheer finish. I think this color is very elegant. You can
wear it to a special occasion or just as an everyday wear. (It's very pretty)

I used Konad image plate m84. With there special red polish.
I also added essie set as stone on my ring finger.
Well I hope you liked my Mani. Tell me what you think?  Have you tried ballet slippers?

Julie G polish Bikini

Today I have for you Julie G polish. She is a you tube beauty guru and now she has her own nail polish line

The first color I am going to show you is Bikini.
It is a bright pink color. It really isn't this neon/bright in person. I couldn't capture the color (sorry). I really liked this color. It is very girly. I used 2 coats and the formula was good. I didn't have any problems with it. For 3.99 a bottle is pretty good.

After it was dried, I decided to add another color from her line on to my tips.
Metallic Heels! I love this! It reminds me of Sephora by OPI Only Gold For Me. Instead of having the chunky gold glitter, Metallic Heels has small gold glitter.
Again I'm very sorry for the bad pics. It was getting late and had to put my kids to sleep.

I promise it looks a lot better in person.

Mojito Madness

Good morning.
I hope every one had a wonderful weekend.
Today I have for you Mojito Madness from essie. It's from the summer 2012 collection.
Essie describes Mojito Madness as, "a fun-loving lime green."
I personally don't see lime green. It's hard to describe the color. But it's a fun summer color.

With 2 coats it was very opaque (no top coat). I didn't have any problem with the formula. I love essie formula. Never have a problem with it.
Mojito madness is a cream finish.

I decided to add some glitter to my Mani.

I used Jordana Gemstones and Copper Blaze.

What do you think of Mojito madness? How would you describe the color?

May Julep Box and Swatch

This is Kylie from my May Julep box. Julep describes Kylie as a sultry, violet magnetic polish.
Kylie is like a grape juice color.
When using the magnet it well create darker designs consisting of stripes.

You can kind of see the darker stripes on the pictures.

I really liked this color. It's very pretty with or without the magnet effect.

Did you receive Kylie for your Julep Maven box? What did you think of it?

Butterflies or Bows????

I hope everyone had a great weekend.
This is what I have for you.

In the picture it looks bright neon, but it's not.
Then I used bundle monster BM-205. Stamped with Konad special white polish.
Now, this is where the title of the post comes in.
Butterflies or Bows???
Looking at the image plate they look like butterfly's. When stamped on my nail
They look like bows. I even asked my husband what he thought
they looked like. And he couldn't even guess.

Jordana and Bundle Monster

Good Morning. Today I have for you Jordana Electric Blue.

Electric Blue is a light creme blue color. The formula was watery but I didn't have trouble applying
it. It was sheer but it got a lot better as I applied the rest of the coats. I used 3 coats.

Here I used Bundle monster BM-201. Stamped with Konad special white polish.
Well I hope you liked it. Thanks for stopping by, and I appreciate all the comments.
