Early Valentines Mani

From yesterdays NOTD I  thought it could use a little something, something. So I decided to put a heart since Valentines is just around the corner. I don't have a dotting tool, I used a bobby pin. It wasn't that easy. My hearts came out kind of different. I still thought it was a cute idea but it didn't come out like I planned.

I need to practice more!!

How to fix a broken nail with a tea bag!

So I was cleaning my bathroom and I SLAMMED my finger into the shower door, and I broke my nail. :(  So I decided to show you guys how I fix a broken nail.  I didn't want to file it down and start all over again. Since I made it this far without biting my nails. This method has become my bf since I decided to grow out my nails.
You will need a tea bag, nail glue, a file, and a pair of scissors. Please excuse my file it is a little beaten up.

This is my broken nail. I don't know if you can see it.

cut the tea bag at the top.

pour the tea in a napkin and open the tea bag completely. You may need to cut it down the middle so it can open up.

tea bag should look like this when it's opened.

Next, your going to cut a little piece of the bag. It should be a little bigger then what your cut is. For example: the length of mine was as long as my finger nail, and width was to the end of the cut.

Then your going to glue the piece of bag onto your nail. You can use tweezers to move it in place. The glue I used was the brush on type. But I find it easier to put a couple of drops on your nail and then place the bag over it. Press down with tweezers or even the scissor tip to make sure it is completely dry.
When its dry file or gently buff out until it has a smooth surface. You can then paint your nails as you normally would.

Hopefully I explained right.

Dots and lines

I painted my nails last night, and this is what I came up with. I wasn't to sure about the results.

Sorry, bad picture! I used black rage (pure ice), steel grey (rimmel london), a bobby pin, and a small brush.

The steel grey doesn't come out really well in this picture, I really like it's almost like a light brownish grey.

I used the bobby pin to make the dots and the thin brush to make the lines.

Special Effects French Tips

So, this past Friday I went to sally's and I bought the special effects nail polish by finger paints. I know I'm a little late on buying them and everyone has them, and have tryed them. But I finally had a chance to go.

There was only 3 left. Asylum, Motley, and Twisted. When you look at the bottle its kind of hard to see what the color it is. But when you put them in the light you can get an idea of what the color will be.

From left to right: Twisted (pointer finger), Motley (middle finger), Asylum (ring finger)

Just another closer look of how each bottle has different flakes to them. I really liked asylum the most it has orange, purple, and almost like a hint of green flakes. Motley is mostly blue and green flakes. Twisted to me kind of looks like asylum but it has more of the red flakes.

So, I decided to do a french mani with asylum.  I wasn't to sure if the special effects was going to work well with my black nail polish I already had at home.  But It worked just fine. I can't wait to get the other nail polish I couldn't get. My only disappointment was it didn't work really while with lighter shades of nail polish.

I hope you liked my french tip manicure and please leave a comment or your feedback.

Another Konad nail art

So, I did this nail art last last week. I know I'm a little behind I had allot of stuff to do and got behind on posting.
Nail polish I used:
  • nails be strong, Jordana
  • girls night out, Jesse's girl
  • konad image plate m63
  • seche vite

girls night out by Jesse's girl

You can tell I need some work on placing the image straight on my nail.

Sorry about the lighting. I took the pictures inside my home.
